The Direct Marketing Association
The DMA is a government endorsed trade body that monitors the Direct Marketing Industry. It's entirely funded annually by companies who make up its membership. Membership is a recommended requirement for any company involved directly in the trading of names, addresses and telephone numbers for direct mail or telemarketing purposes. As a member, DLG has agreed to be bound by the DMA Codes of Practice.
The Information Commissioner's Office
Data owners and users are required by law to be registered with the Information Commissioner. This registration must be renewed each year wherein a declaration is made as to the purpose of the personal data, and a stated intent to understand and adhere to the legislation enshrined in the Data Protection Act 1998.
The List Warranty Register
The List Warranty Register promotes best practice within the industry and helps to raise standards for the benefit of the industry and the consumer. The Warranty is an assurance that data has been collected lawfully, is up-to-date and complies with relevant all Codes of Practice. Warranties are renewed every year and by signing a warranty the signee agrees to comply with the DMA's Code of Practice and, in case of a complaint, to be bound by the decisions of the Direct Marketing Authority.
Claims Management Services Regulations
The Ministry of Justice requires that all companies involved in Claims Management should be registered and adhere to the Claims Management Services Regulations. DLG is, therefore, registered with the Ministry of Justice for the marketing and advertising of Claims Management Services. DLG complies with their Rules of Conduct.
